Apply for a Place

Pupils are admitted following an assessment, interview and free trial week. Leading to the Local Authority producing an EHC Plan or the SEN Tribunal ordering an EHC Plan.

Pupils come to us from a widespread area. The following LEAs are currently transporting pupils to our school. Staffordshire, Birmingham, Cheshire, Derby City, Derbyshire, Dudley, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Solihull, Walsall, Warwickshire, Worcestershire.

The First Stage

Phone us on 01543 264387, ask for a brochure, and discuss the situation.

The Second Stage

We usually need to see an educational psychologist's report or, if you have one, a Statement of Special Educational Needs / Education, Health and Care Plan.

We can tell you how to find an educational psychologist if you need an assessment. We can then say whether or not it is worth coming to see us.

The Final Stage - The Interview

All pupils are interviewed. During the interview we would discuss how we might be able to help. We would also try to teach your child to see if our teaching methods will work for your child's particular difficulties.

If we all consider that a place may be appropriate then a short ‘trial’ attendance (typically for a week) is provided at no charge. Should a longer trial be needed, there would be a cost.

Thereafter, the decision to offer a place, or not, is taken.

Because of the special methodology of the school and the provision of the national curriculum into which it is integrated you should expect a placement be for a minimum of three years.
